I grew up like many other girls
during the Sex and the City phase: The series started in 1998 the year I turned
18, Carrie Bradshaw was the character that reflected most of my personality,
and, throughout the whole seasons and the 2 movies that followed, I was always
keen to be close to any detail related to her style, hair, cloths and… and…
and, above all: her SHOES!
Manolo Blahnik, the iconic shoes
designer of the series and the blowing mind behind that exceptional blue pair of
shoes that every girl I know fell in
love with: THAT one pair with which Mr.
Big proposed in that huge walk-in closet, THAT one pair that made every girl on
the planet dream of having a Mr. Big, a walk-in closet and a Manolo Blahnik.
And then came that one socialite
and fashion icon who made any girl’s dream come true and chose this blue pair
of shoes for her wedding ceremony. Adorned with a chic white short, full tulle
satin and silk skirt with floral detailing, a cashmere sweater and, to top it
all, the iconic Manolo Blahnik blue shoes à la “Sex and the City”: that is the
look Olivia Palermo opted for at her wedding.
Carrie Bradshaw would have been
proud!
The 28 year old socialite and
fashion icon tied the knot with her beau Johaness Huebl in New York creating
a new trend with her bridal look.
The three piece ensemble by
Carolina Herrera will soon be one of the must haves for a trendy, chic,
breathtaking and signature ceremony
So simple, yet so chic… and with
a twist! One of the best “out-of-the-ordinary” bridal looks of our times.
After Carrie’s Vivian Westwood
dramatic gown adorned with a bird feather hair accessory loaned from the New
York Vintage, Palermo’s look comes as one of the best yet.
Planning a trendy wedding in the
near future? Here is a new trend to follow.
